Monica Robertson is a state licensed multi-disciplinary bodywork practitioner. At the WAYStation Wellness Clinic, you can choose from massage therapy, ear acupuncture, and reflexology.

Massage Therapy is the application of manual pressure to the tissues of the body, applied with therapeutic touch, to maintain or improve health. At The WAYStation, you can enjoy a purely relaxing Swedish massage or target specific muscular issues with clinical massage. You can book a Raindrop session: a one hour of prayerful anointing with ten essential oils and oil blends, to the feet, neck, and back take the power of specific essential oils into the body through the spinal reflexes as well as the spinal tissues to produce a variety of health benefits. The sequence of essential oils are immune enhancing, supporting the body's natural defenses, as well as the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, digestive, nervous, muscular, and other body systems. You can book an X'Tract session: a proprietary cleansing modality for the lymphatic system, directing fluid from the lymphatic system into the urinary system for elimination. With long-term stress being a precursor to the disease process, massage therapy is a great way to combat the negative effects of a stressful season, or lifestyle. Many look at massage therapy as a luxury, but in reality, regular massage therapy is a great addition to the "required maintenance" the body needs for health and longevity.

Acudetox is the careful placement of 5 tiny needles in specific areas of the body map found on your ears. This therapy targets your sympathetic nervous system (controlling fight or flight), a part of your brain (as there are three) that governs the activity of your spirit (namely the pineal gland), as well as the major detoxification organs of the body (liver, lungs, and kidneys). An Acudetox session allows your body to move from the sympathetic to the para-sympathetic nervous system and into the first phase of the sleep cycle for 45 minutes of deeper healing and detoxification. Acudetox clears energy blockages in the Interstitium. The Interstitium has existing since the Creation of man, has been known by the Eastern medical profession for thousands of years, and is the newest body system discovered in Western Medicine in 2017 at New York University). It is the area just under the skin containing highways of flowing energy throughout the body. As one of the ear points stimulates a part of the brain that activates our spirit, many have discovered they hear and experience the presence of God is a more profound way. Some clients bring a journal to treatment and record answers to prayer, problem solving or creative ideas. Others simply enjoy the increased sensitivity to God's presence while enjoying a restful nap.

Reflexology is a non-invasive, complementary health modality, now often used in medical practices, involving thumb and finger techniques to apply alternating pressure to reflexes located on the hands and feet. This technique helps the inflamed nerves in the reflex points on the feet and hands to send stronger signals to the brain in regard to struggling body systems or organs. In turn, the brain will send more energy to those same body systems or organs to normalize and heal.

Therapeutic bodywork promotes deep relaxation. Clients find they are breathing deeper, which moves lymph and supplies oxygen to the cells during the session. The more relaxation and rest that occurs during a session, the more the body is able to move to greater homeostasis (balance), and healing.

As with all bodywork, there are contraindications of which to be aware. You will find these listed on the website under the FAQ page for each modality. (See www.thewaylady.com prior to booking if you are not aware of the contraindications of a specific modality before booking).
